1st Communications Maintenance Plans

1st Communications Maintenance provides you with the peace of mind that if something goes wrong with your communications, we will be there and help you get back up and running again quickly.

We understand that every business is different and therefore has different requirements when it comes to maintenance and system performance. Instead of trying to fit each case into a particular maintenance plan that we have created, our experience over the years has led us to provide a flexible set of maintenance plans all stemming from a simple, standard plan. You can then request additional features or service levels according to your exact business requirements.

The 1st Communications Standard Maintenance Plan

  • Our maintenance plans generally cover the replacement of all equipment listed on the agreement and the labour required to resolve the fault based on normal and fair wear and tear.
  • Faults are responded to within 16 working hours from Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm, excluding Bank/Public Holidays.
  • Response times include the arrival of a site engineer within the specified time.
  • Remote diagnosis of 'fault' and verbal instructions to correct or provide temporary service where possible.
  • Remote diagnosis of 'fault' and correction or provision of temporary service by 'Remote Administration Devise' (RAD), if provided.

The contract does not provide cover for any damage caused by electrical surges and lightning or replacement batteries and/or capacitors for system programming memory storage or if required for the operation of any telephones.

Unless otherwise stated on the agreement, the contract does not provide cover on internal or external cabling networks, either standard or structured or analogue telephones (including DECT- cordless), answering machines, headsets and/or peripherals.

In the event of 30% (or more) of system/equipment failure, the reported fault will be defined as a 'major system failure' and we will reduce our response time as much as possible.

As explained above, you can then ask for extra services or performance based on your business requirements. This can include faster response times, temporary replacement equipment, 24 hour/365 days a year cover etc.
