The Nortel IP 2004 Telephone delivers traditional business communications in a network controlled by a Nortel Business Communications Manager, Meridian 1, Communication Server 1000, Communication Server 1000M or Multimedia Communications Server 5100. The Nortel IP 2004 Telephone is directly connected to the LAN via a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet connection, offering simplified management and reducing the time and cost associated with moves, adds and changes.

Nortel IP 2004 Telephone Features

• Integrated Switched Ethernet connection prioritises voice traffic to ensure high quality voice and reduce wiring and cable requirements.
• Power over Ethernet delivers power from the Data Switching Equipment over Ethernet cabling via the IEEE 802.3af specification.
• DHCP compatible to simplify network administration, by providing centralised automated IP address management. Microsoft TAPI-compliant interface operates with CallPilot and Personal Call Manager providing onscreen displays of call logs, directories etc.
• Standards based solution that allows automatic firmware upgrades as standards as features evolve.
